Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral? No referral is necessary. You can reach out directly to schedule your free consultation.
Can I do sessions from anywhere? You must be physically located in Virginia or Florida during our sessions (state licensing requirements). However, you can be in any private location within those states - your home, office, or even a parked car if that's the most private option.
What is your cancellation policy?I require 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice, or missed appointments, will be charged the full session fee. I understand emergencies happen, and we can discuss exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
Is telehealth secure and confidential? All sessions are conducted through HIPAA-compliant platforms with end-to-end encryption. Your information is protected by the same strict confidentiality laws that apply to in-person therapy.
Do you accept insurance? I'm currently an out-of-network provider, which means I don't bill insurance directly. However, many clients receive partial reimbursement from their insurance companies by submitting the superbill I provide. I can help you understand your out-of-network benefits.
What types of issues do you work with?I work with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, burnout, life transitions, relationship issues, and more. If your concern is outside my area of expertise, I'll let you know during our consultation and can provide referrals to specialists if needed.
