Licensed Clinical Social Worker helping you reconnect with your authentic self, reduce mental health symptoms, and values driven leadership
Meet Amber Rodgers, LCSW
My Journey to This Work
I didn't always understand the cost of constant striving. Like many high achievers, I spent years believing that rest was a reward for finishing everything on my list - a list that never seemed to end. I know what it's like to feel successful on the outside while questioning everything on the inside.
My path to becoming a therapist grew from my own journey of learning to lead authentically, set boundaries without guilt, and find meaning beyond achievement. I've walked the path from burnout to balance, and now I'm passionate about helping others do the same.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience in adult, active duty, family member populations, I've had the privilege of witnessing countless transformations. I've seen clients move from exhaustion to vitality, from confusion to clarity, from self-doubt to confident authenticity.
My approach is rooted in evidence-based therapeutic practices, but it's also deeply human. I believe in meeting you exactly where you are, without judgment. In our sessions, you won't find generic advice or cookie-cutter solutions. Instead, we'll work together to uncover what's true for you and create a path that aligns with your unique values and goals.
I'm continually deepening my expertise through ongoing training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Theory, Parts Work, leadership development, trauma-informed care, etc. This commitment to growth allows me to offer you the most effective, research-backed approaches while honoring your individual experience.
Outside of sessions, I enjoy reading, working out, listening to podcasts, being outside, taking walks with my two German Shepherds, Rocco and Cleo, planting things, and “keep chickens” though they really tend to keep me. These practices remind me daily that sustainable success isn't about perfection - it's about presence, authenticity, and the courage to keep growing.

My Therapeutic Philosophy
I believe you are the expert on your own life and that you have wisdom within that's worth mining. My role isn't to tell you what to do or fix what's "wrong" with you. It's to create a space of genuine connection where you can explore, heal, grow, and reconnect with your authentic voice. I am a challenger and will bring to your attention times you are abandoning your authentic voice.
This work requires courage. It means challenging the superficial barriers we've constructed, questioning the boundaries others have set for us, and trusting your gut even when it goes against everything you've been taught. I'm here to walk alongside you in that journey with steady support, compassionate challenge, and unwavering belief in your capacity for growth.
Clinical Approaches I Draw From:
Person-Centered Therapy (Carl Rogers)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Motivational Interviewing
Mindfulness-Based Approaches
Cognitive Processing Therapy
Systems Theory
Trauma-Informed Care
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
Strengths-Based Perspective
Leadership Development Frameworks
But more than any specific technique, I bring curiosity, compassion, and genuine presence to our work together.

The name Radiant Plumage clicked the instant it came up—one of those gut-knowing moments where something just clicks and you know it's right, even before you understand all the reasons why.
I have always been drawn to the iridescent colors and repeating patterns of peacock feathers—the way they shimmer and shift depending on the light, revealing hidden depths and brilliant colors that aren't visible at first glance. I have a tattoo of one as well as mandalas that also have meditative patterns. In my growth story I became curious about this attraction and constancy in my life. I realized that's exactly what this work is about: helping you discover and express the brilliant, authentic self that's been there all along, perhaps hidden under layers of expectations, performance, and trying to be what others needed you to be.
Radiant speaks to the light and energy that emerges when you stop performing and start living authentically. It's about:
Shining light on the patterns keeping you stuck
The warmth and hope that comes from genuine connection
Visibility—being fully seen and valued as you actually are
The steady, calm energy of living from your center
Impact that radiates outward when you lead authentically
Plumage represents:
The full spectrum of who you are—all your colors, not just the "acceptable" ones
Transformation and revealing what was always there
The courage to display your authentic self
Natural beauty that doesn't need to be manufactured or performed
The intricate patterns that make you uniquely you
When you come here, my hope is that you rediscover your own radiance—not by becoming someone different, but by shedding what's dimmed your natural brilliance. You learn to trust your colors, display your full self, and lead from that grounded, authentic place.
Beyond the metaphor, here's what matters to me: genuine connection, shared experiences, laughter, depth, authenticity, and the kind of conversations that force us to examine what we believe versus what we've been taught to believe.
I'm someone who believes in following your gut even when it terrifies you. I've learned (and continue to learn) to trust myself outside of perceived boundaries and conventional expectations. I'm a recovering people-pleaser who discovered that disappointing others is sometimes exactly what integrity requires.
I practice what I teach—or at least, I try. I honor my values (dignity, mutual respect, human rights). I trust my knowingness. I challenge superficial barriers in my own life. I seek out genuine connection. I'm persistent, creative, collaborative, and yes, funny when the moment calls for it. I'm also still learning, still growing, and definitely not perfect at any of it.
What I know for sure: This one wild and precious life is more than "the American dream." It's about connection, validation, shared humanity, and the courage to show up as who we are—radiant plumage and all. That's what I'm committed to—in my own life and in supporting you to discover in yours.
This work is deeply meaningful to me. I consider it a privilege to hold space for your journey, challenge you when needed, celebrate your growth, and walk alongside you as you rediscover (or discover for the first time) your authentic voice, your natural radiance, and your purpose.
